Finally got some pics and some time to show my fellow XJ riders my "new" Seca 2!
I found her on craigslist about a month ago and picked her up for $1300. With only 6500 miles on the odometer, I thought it wasn't a bad deal. She runs good, but needs some cosmetic work, especially the engine. The V&H exhaust was already installed, and with the way it runs, I am assuming the carbs where rejetted as well.
Here's what I've done so far:
Replaced brake pads
Replaced fork seals (incorrectly :wallbash: )
Swapped stock rear shock for the FZ6R shock
Oil Change
And here's what I plan on doing:
Correctly installing fork seals (And RT springs?)
New chain
New headlight bulb
Replace customized seat with stock seat
Repaint engine (might be a while...)
Other random things as I dig into the bike :brow:
And now for some pics:
I plan on using this bike to take me and my to-be-wife on our honeymoon down to the smoky mountains late this summer/early fall, so I sure got my work cut out for me!
