Seca II seat won't come off

I am trying to get the seat off my Seca II. I put the key in the unlock for the seat, the key will only turn maybe 1/4 of a turn counter clockwise. I hear a click but nothing seems to unlatch from the seat. I sprayed some WD-40 in the lock but that didn't change anything. With the key turned as far as it will go I tried lifting the back of the seat up to no avail, tried lifting the sides, and front. I believe my problem is the lock wont turn far enough to unlatch, I don't want to break the key. Any suggestions, maybe I don't know the proper rituals? :wallbash:
