Front tire pressures - how low can I go?

I had some stiffer springs put on my '98 by a sportbike suspension shop. Mine were super squishy and handling just didnt seem right. When I got the bike back I really liked how it felt but upon a routine tire press check I noticed they had put the front down to 24.5. Come to find that with the new springs, the typical 29 is a bit too firm up front. So far I've compromised at 27 but might like to drop it lower. Any thoughts on running it lower?
