1992 XJ600 clutch not engaging

How's it going all...I'm new to the forum. A little background on the 1992 XJ 600 SECA II. I bought this bike 2 years ago. When i bought it was drivable. Due to unforeseen events, my bike was victim of someone trying to steal it and since they couldn't, they vandalized the bike. The bike sat for 1 year and 9 months. I have slowly been doing the work needed due to tips on the forum (thanks so much for all the info and advices guys) but I am stuck now. My clutch does not engage whether I pull on the clutch lever or if i move it manually on the other end of the clutch cable. When I try to put the bike in gear the bike it starts moving but kills since i have no ability to engage the clutch. I am novice in motorcycle but have general knowledge in automobile. Is there any thing you guys recommend? Any one suffer this before? Any information is much appreciated.
