Head Removal?

So one of my spark plug holes needs to be re thread, and I have already purchased the heli coil kit to do so. The only thing is, I am still novice in this subject. Has anyone with experience got any tips, or suggestions how to PROPERLY remove the head so that I may be able to reach the hole easier? Thank you, I will update with pics.
