So I need to replace a couple of front rotor bolts. As I'm sure you know, the stock bolts have a collar at the top of the threads, about 1/4 in long. I thought maybe this was to hold the rotor centered but the bolt holes in the rotor are a lot bigger. I've been able to find, at the shop where my dad works, same size, head and hardness bolts but they're threaded right to the top. Anyone see any issues with using these? I don't but figured I'd ask, just in case.
