Earlier Radare commented that I should do something with my frame that I have just sitting in the back room. I originally said I don't have the money for a project. Truth be told I do... I was just using it as an excuse not to get off my lazy but. So with this spark I have been doing some serious thinking. IF i was going to do something with the frame it would have to be something custom and far from a stock rebuild. Why? I have already sold half the stock parts off the bike lol....

I have the ability and fabrication skills to build some really cool things. I lack somewhat in tools but can make do with a limited array of shop supplies. I will probably have to get an actual bench...... and a vise. I looked on CL and I have found a good amount of used power tools like drill presses, sanders, and possibly a band saw. I have an air compressor and a pretty good paint gun so all I need is a few supplies to get up to operational speed.

Now what to do...... Since I have to go custom I was thinking I would go for a Cafe XJ. A few of the inspiration pictures I am looking at are as follows:

I definately want to go with inverted forks. They add the look better than the pencil forks of the XJ. BUT it needs Duel disc front brakes.

I like the engine color on this one with the Red wires sticking out just make it pop!!

FZR Rear wheel

And a round headlight ( I have been conflicted all day on maybe doing a duel front headlight)

All this is going to require some research and some trial and error. The one thing that sucks is I sold the carb bank off of my engine :wallbash: so now I have to find another one and probably rebuild it.

Does anyone have any advice, comments, suggestions and/or what parts would work well. I am all ears and welcome any discussion on this subject.
