I just sold my seat to a friend of mine and it didn't fit correctly. He still bought it because his old seat was a piece of crap but I want to help him out. I know the 97-98 had a different rear fairing than my 94 but I don't believe the height difference is much. There is about an inch gap on the back. @Radare: you've had both fairings, any advice?
