Tonight I did a little maintenance on the chain and sprockets, cleaning, re-lubricating, then putting the wax spray on, which all came in this kit that I've used successfully on other bikes in the past.
It seems I can use a small screw driver between the rollers and push this single spot flat with out much of a fight at al, but once around the front sprocket again and it looks just like above. Granted it looked worse when I started I'm still not sure if this minor amount of a kink is acceptable or not. It's the original chain with only 8k miles on it. I did a hell of a cleaning on it, then lubing along with spraying down the warm/hot/ :draco751: chain with the wax spray so it absorbs everywhere possible. The orangish tinge you see in the pic above is PB Blaster, I'm hoping a few sprays with this will some how work past the o-rings and back into the sealed area. Do you guys have any suggestions for this other than replacing the chain?
