I know two random things to ask about but.... So I finally got the correct dust seals (at least I hope so) from pyramid parts three months later. The new ones appear to be the right size but they are different then the old ones. The old ones seem to have 2 surfaces that contact the forks, an inner wipe that is a bit stiffer rubber and the outer or top wipe that you see that a flexible plyable wipe rubber. Now the new ones only have the top or outer wipe part. Should I ask for my money back and order some from ron Ayers or something? They seem to be a cheaper knock off and they took three months to finally get the right ones. Any one have expercience with pyramid dust seals? There oil seals seemed spot on.
Also, I still get some weirdness out of the bike since going thru the carbs. I didn't change the float needles and am wondering how critical that is to do? What symptoms would I be getting from bad float needles? The ones in there were clean clean with no visible damage so I just left them. I do get some hesitation around 3000-3500 rpm no matter what gear i'm in. Any insight into either of these issues would be great.
Dust seals and Carb needles?
