Just wanted to take a quick minute to thank the fourm and it's members for helping get my back running properly. The last time I took the bike out it would hesitate when opening the throttle so I looked on here for possible cause. Found some things to check out and went to it. I started with the air filter and carb boots, both seemed ok save for the brown goo that had collected in the air box, so I cleaned that real good and put everything back together. The carb boots are holding tight but apon further inspection I will changed then soon as they are looking a bit old and tired. When I fired the bike up I noticed it still wasn't right and had sprung a leak in one of the fuel line probably due to moving the tank around. So I replaced it. Got everything back together and noticed I was still leaking fuel from somewhere. Since I'm new to bikes I did't know what the little box was that all the fuel lines run to but the forum helped with that, it's the fuel pump. Discovered that fuel was spewing out of the vent hole in the fuel pump. Went back to the forum to find a solution and found the polaris fuel pump for half the cost of OEM works just fine. Called a local shop and they had one instock for $56 so picked it up and installed it. Bike is back to running like a champ.

Thanks to everyone on here ecspecially 1Oldman and Radare for you advice and knowledge of all things XJ. It's been great becoming part of this brother hood and all the help that has been provided. This isn't the first forum i ever joined but definately the freindlyist one. Not once have I asked a question and been simply told to use the "search" function. I actually really hate that on other forums, it's like some times forum member are there just to remind people to search and not help out. Any how I'm getting long winded and just wanted to say thank you everyone, you've been great!!! Happy Riding!!!
