Rear shock preload - what number are you?

Getting my '98 dialed in and cranked up my preload to 5 a while back and really liked the results. Did a measurement today and found I had close to 1" of static sag and another 1" of rider sag. I have noticed the bike seems to settle more than I would expect for my 200 lb carcass so I cranked in another bit to 6. Just wondering, do most of you have it up around the high settings? It feels nice and solid on the road now but I know the front shock is fairly squishy on these and since it's not adjustable I'm not sure if this might transfer too much to the front.
