Seca II in the Phoenix area

Decided to buy a 1992 Seca II as my first motorcycle. Found one for $700 that needed the starter idler gear replaced. Four months later and it still isn't working. It has a lot of problems. It makes loud noises but does not rev when the throttle is increased from idle. The piston heads are completely blackened. I may buy another motorcycle, found a 2006 Ninja 250r for less that 1 grand.
