Hello Riders,

I've been missing from the forums since shortly after completing Project Karma. (The bike now goes by Laren, as in Ensign Ro Laren from the Star Trek universe.)

I have a number of not-needed motorcycle things to sell, including this set of early front fairings (1992 model year).

For Sale: Early Fairings - Red, Repaired

From a 1992 XJ600
I have plastic-welded all the small cracks, including the weak spot near the windshield attachment.
I have re-built (plastic-welded) the missing rear mounting hole with ABS plastic and reinforced the backside of each with my favorite two-part epoxy.

I'm in the process of prepping them for paint in a (perhaps delusional) desire to sell them locally as refurbished pieces. In addition to the cracks-and-chunks-missing damage, the original paint was horribly trashed and had stains from being moldy, which came out only with sanding. The original decals are still in decent shape, though.

Current Condition
I thought I'd offer them up on the forums (in the sanded, bondo-ed, and spotty condition appearing here) before I get too much further. I don't have a clue what they are worth like this.

Shoot me an offer if you need a set and were planning to paint them.

Otherwise, I figure I'll prime/paint/clear them in the next few days. Maybe. Probably. We'll see.

Starting Condition
This is what they looked like before I started repairing them. A little rough, for sure.
