Hey everyone first time on the site! :hello:
Gotta issue with my 1996 XJ600sh seca II
With a 100% full tank id be able to ride like 90ish miles.
Then after that i start having issues with gas.
My fuel filter straight from the tank petcock will show 0 fuel and ill run outa gas, even tho there is still plenty in the tank!
I have pulled the petcock, she is clean as a whistle. I have pulled the filters from the tank they look brand spanking new!!
If i pull the fuel line from the filter (still connected to petcock) and hit PRIME she will free flow like she is supposed to! I have not tried to drain a complete tank yet due to super cold weather hitting in real bad.
Now, after i run out of gas, and ill hit the petcock to PRIME, it does nothing! But if i let it sit for about 15-20 minutes she will prime back up like
she is supposed to do!! Then bam! back off to the road!
Even if i let it stay in prime while riding, she will still do the same thing.... but not quite as frequent....but the same none the less.
But then eventually she will have the same issue yet again.... :wallbash:
Has anyone had this issue before and mite know what could be the cause? Any help would be so greatly appreciated everyone! I love this bike and cannot wait til summer time to ride! Just need this issue fixed before i can!....... Thanks in advanced and will return frequently to check!
