Hi all,
I am Arne from the Netherlands and by the looks of it, I will be picking up a 1990 XJ600 which has been parked up since May of this year due to some holes in the exhaust. I am currently working on getting myself my motorcycle license here in the Netherlands, which I hope to have at the end of next month. I got a call yesterday that I can go and pick the bike up in Amsterdam, probably on Monday night. Obvious problems are the fact that it has been sitting for five months, the holes in the exhaust and apparently the clutch has started to stick. Before it was parked it was used daily. I have no idea about the state of the rest of the bike, but as the guy drove it daily it should be usable as a winter bike after a bit of spannering. And as I get it for a song, I don't mind finding out how to do that.
Any tips on how to disassemble the clutch and clean it would be very welcome. Also, a service manual for the 1990 XJ600 and a parts catalogue would be very welcome as well. Thanks!
(Pics will follow as I get closer to the bike)
