Pod filters

I just got my bike a couple weeks ago and it didn't come with the stock airbox or any sort of filter at all so I just went and ordered the 4 pod filters.after doing more research I'm hearing a lot of mixed things about running a setup like this vs.the stock airbox. I guess I'm just not too sure on what it could affect .its just a filter over the carbs right?the only difference is the air restriction of the box vs pods.i would like to hear multiple opinions on this please.thanks.
