I have an interesting problem with my new bike. The bike starts fine with the choke and idles okay after warming up. When the bike is on the side stand, I set the idle at around 1500 rpm. When I get on the bike and put both feet on the ground, she revs up to about 2700 rpm. If I lean the bike to the right, the revs increase and keep increasing the further I lean. I stopped at about 30 degrees when the RPM was around 6000. When I lean the bike back to the left, the revs decrease.

When I purchased the bike, it had sat for a period. I disassembled and cleaned the carbs (in an ultrasonic cleaner with Simple Green HD), then reassembled. I did my best in setting the float heights and used BBs to test the sync while reassembling. I have put a rebuild kit in the petcock, since it was leaking. I replaced the fuel filter, but did not touch the fuel pump.

I have no idea what would cause the issue that I am having. Any ideas?
