Hey Guys - long time no talk. Hope everyone is living well and has gotten some riding in this year.

I'll cut right to the chase - the other day my bike was running poorly, missing at all RPM, trying to die when I revved it, etc. I hypothesized that there was water in the fuel because my cover had partially come off and it sat like that for a week while I was out of town.

I drained some fuel into a 16oz water bottle and sure enough the bottom 2 inches was water. After a couple of hours of draining the bowls, refilling, and filling the tank with half a can of Seafoam I was able to run the engine for about 10 minutes, rev it pretty hard, and eventually burn off the water.

Now I'm researching what causes this and what I can do about it. It seems that there are 2 potential issues - the first being the fuel tank drain tube possibly is clogged (I haven't checked it yet). The second being the rubber gasket around the fuel cap not making a good seal.

Right now I'm thinking only about the gas cap - I saw a couple of options of either replacing with a Chinese copy or replacing with an R6. What about trying to repair or replace the gasket? Can anyone confirm what exactly fails on the stock fuel cap? I'd prefer to keep the current one because I already carry enough keys on me already and I don't think I have the skillz to rekey an R6 cap like Radare did.
