So I have troubleshot my 98 for about 4 hours and thought I came to a conclusion that the started relay went bad but was advised that might not be the case as they dont normally just go bad wondering if anyone has any thoughts. Turn on key, power and lights come on. Press clutch in and lift stand so no kill switch circuits are closed and hit the ignition switch and all I get is the oil light staring me in the face with no life or cranking from the starter. Read through manual and bypassed ignition switch and starter turns over however when I put a multimeter on the relay what I have read is that if blue/white and red I think is what it was don't have continuity then replace relay? No continuity on those pins but curious as to wether anyone else has found anything like this. Continuity tested both kill switch and clutch neutral switch and stand switch both appear to beep and not beep respectively tested ignition itself and tests fine. HELP! Nice weather is upon me and no bike!
