I am trying to find a consensus on this issue.
My rear tire is darn near shot. My front is like brand new (still has rubber spikey things).
Does the rear have to match? I don't have the brand handy of the front tire but my boss bought a Bridgestone Battleaxe BT-45 that he found out was a little too wide for his liking (has 100 miles) since the chain guard wouldn't fit with it on. He's giving it to me for $40.
Is it ok to have a mismatch front/rear? I mean, I *think* they are mismatched now unless the PO put the same brand on, which I don't think he did. (This was something I probably should have paid attention to).
