Last fall I drain my bikes Fuel tank and ran the carbs dry. That was the last time it ran right. I added gas to the bike last fall to try and get one more day of riding but she would only idle. As soon as I gave it gas it would die. Fast forward to today... I have changed plugs, put in fresh fuel, and rebuilt the petcock. With the choke on and throttle closed it likes to tease me, in otherwords it sounds like its going to fire, but the XJ starts IF I give it almost full throttle and no choke (wont go over 5000 rpm though). If I pump the throttle it back fires from the left side of the exhaust. I am not very good with carbs and I need to know where to start. It ran just fine last summer maybe I should of just left it alone. :wallbash:
