Hello, I have a 1992 Yamaha Xj600. The bike has 20,000 miles on it and always ran pretty good untill this past winter. It got harder and harder to start. I cleaned the carbs and even then that did not really work so I re-synced them and ran a lot better but was still sorta off. I ignorged it and said to my self I would be a proper full rebuild and re-synced in the spring.

Well the other day I found a strong smell of gas in the garage and saw gassy/ oil stuff dripping from the bottom of the engine. Looks like it is comming out of the left cover and near the bottom of the clutch cover on the right side. I have not examined it vary well and have been letting it sit with the fuel cut off form the tank. I was afraid of what I might find.

:?: :?: Soo question is how much damage should I expect and what should I do to fix it ? cost and parts projection maybe >? :?: :?:
Again, Have not taken anything apart yet. Thanks in advance

** My guess is that a Float got stuck and fill up, then moved in to the pistons. After that the gas made its way past the piston rings and into the oil tinning it out and making it past some seals.
