Just picked up my 1994 Seca II yesterday and am ready to put it through it's paces. Wait? What's that? It's raining? Bah! Rain won't stop me! What's that now? The tread on the rear tire is worn and bald? Well, ok then. I'll just have to wait then.
Other than the rear tire being bald down the center, this bike is in fantastic condition. Sure, there are a few minor blemishes here and there, but what can you expect from a bike that's about to turn 20. All of them easily fixable. Even the seat (which, by the way, I got the info on how to easily repair from this site). The engine is rock solid, and the bike handles quite well.
I've owned quite a few different bikes over the past few years: FZ6, two Buells (XB9SX & XB12S), Speed Triple, SV650, Speedmaster, and a Kawasaki Z1000. Loved them all. However, for some reason I've always wanted a Seca II. I guess for no other reason than this bike is just simple fun. I've also been perusing this site and have found quite a bit of useful stuff I can do with the bike. I haven't fully decided if I want to restore it to pristineness, or maybe even do some mods to it. I guess time will tell.
Oh... and its yellow. Gonna have to get used to that.
