This is the third time ive pulled my carb. Now I have information from the wall, I have bought the right O rings, a PO Boy float bowl kit and a petcock rebuild. I will do a complete cleaning while following the instructions posted.
I have noticed that the finish on the inside of the float bowls is gone ( see picture below ) from sitting for 5-7 years. Even using an abrasive cleaner and yamaha carb dip it is aparent the bottom is lacking the finish.
What is more disturbing is the brown residue that is coating my carbs. The picture below is from my carb that was cleaned two months ago. Anyone know why this is occuring?
