Back when I replaced the vacuum hoses on the Audi, I found a few hoses that were originally molded in angles greater than 270 degrees (I think :?: ). I discovered a little trick to allow using straight hose and preventing it from kinking when its bent back toward itself.

Use heat shrink.

I slipped a piece of heat shrink over the tube, bent it in place and then shrunk the shrink around the hose. Since it compresses equally and gets a bit firm, it holds the hose round, preventing kinks. This particular heat shrink has an adhesive inside which further helps it hold the shape.

So if you're replacing fuel or vacuum hoses and you are having trouble with it kinking, give this a try.
