Hey all,
It's been a bit since I posted here. For a recap, I bought a beautiful '98 XJ600, and loved it. About 9 months in, somebody blew a yield sign and I had a new project bike lol
Well, after rebuilding the forks last summer, I discovered a new problem. A knocking sound when trying to start, accompanied by gas in the oil. I ordered a new petcock and gas cap(the old one was just leaky), but didn't get them in until after I left on a deployment. But, I'm back now, and confined to my house for 14 days because of all the travel, so time to work on the bike! Last night I replaced the petcock and gas cap(pictures attached, the gaskets were pretty much all compromised). Today my plan is to touch up some of the paint, and put a design over the skid marks on my exhaust.
