I hope to pick your brains.
I need a new fuel cap, mine came without a key and I ruined the lock getting it off.
I bought a flea bay replacement, but it is not genuine, so I can't swap parts. So have choices, a. to buy another genuine used fuel cap and then make one good one, but as I'll be spraying the tank I really need to paint the fuel cap to make it look respectable and this may not be a good - long term solution as paint scratches, fuel contamination etc...thoughts.? This got me thinking shall I just buy a quick release one to fit the tank & not worry about a key?
If anyone has already trodden this ground and has a recommendation for a third party cap then I'll be glad to hear from you, or alternatively anyone got a good quality cap laying around the garage you want to sell me

Best
