Blowing ignition fuse

Helping a buddy with his 92. Bike has been sitting for over a year. Got it started up and rode 1/4 mile. Everything died. Jumped and got it restarted but died within 100 feet. Now I’m working on it. Noticed ignition fuse was blown. Replaced and cranked. Got brief fire. After start attempt noticed ignition fuse blown again. This process continues to happen. Would a bad R/R do this? No obvious shorts or bad wiring
