Hey all,
The short and skinny of it is I got hit by a car 5 months ago, and this week I was finally ready to start getting the bike back together.
I'm starting to throw the forks back together after disassembling, new seals and oil etc, and I've run into a bit of a question. I've been following 1Oldman's great fork rebuild guide and a Haynes-type manual, but my forks seem to be a bit different to what those show. (98 for reference)
I've got these four washers in my forks, I also have adjustable fork caps(?) shown in the picture below. I can take a stab at how they go back together, but does any one know for sure? And for my sanity's sake I need to ask: is this unusual? I also don't seem to have an.. oil seal thing that goes on the bottom of the damper rod? In my manual it shows it as a bit of plastic roughly the same size as the spacer under the fork cap. I'm starting to get the feeling these maybe aren't stock?
Thanks in advance for any help,
