This summer I have gotten a XJ600 Seca II back to running condition after the previous owner had left it sitting in his backyard for about 12 years. I've faced and conquered many problems but a gas leak problem has left me defeated. I've cleaned and rebuilt this petcock with a rebuild kit from Ebay, put copper washers around the screws, made sure the upper gasket is seated well, and nothing has worked. It seems to be leaking from between the screw and the middle body of the petcock. Any ideas? it's driving me crazy and I think it's killing my fuel consumption. Also a new petcock would cost me $100!
