I replaced the engine on my bike. I bought a used engine with 5000 miles on it rebuilt the carbs finally have it all back together and clunk is all I get.
when I took the spark plugs out the engine turned easily. I have replaced the old battery. it sounds like the starter is engaging but I don't want to keep trying it and mess up the starter gear. I doubt I'm the first with this problem but is there a troubleshooting check list? next steps?
