Wont shift stuck in 4th gear

My bike is stuck seemingly in 4th gear. The shifter is stuck in the up position and wont go down, or up. Also the bike rolls without the clutch pulled in, if I give it a little effort. I'm pretty sure that's not a good thing. My first thought was that it might be due to a lack of oil and so the gears are not being properly submerged, since my bike burned a lot of oil when I started it up after the crash, and then stopped. I can see oil in the sight glass when the bike is off but when its on I cant see it until it gets warmed up.
