Hey, So I got my Xj600 not but a few months ago. I was in the process of fixing it up when I crashed it. I made a few posts on here not many. It wasn't a very fast spill, around 40 MPH I hit a curb on a turn and got thrown off the bike. Most of the impact was to the bars so everything on there was destroyed. I just wanted to know what I should fix first, and what I should check for damage. The frame looks to be okay but I haven't been really deep into the bike. I think my suspension is shot, I don't know how to tell but it looks.. shorter I guess. I haven't been able to start it, my start button was destroyed during the crash and it wont start when I drop the clutch, also most of my throttle was destroyed. I might as well just make a list as to what I can tell it wrong so far. 1. Fork Seals are shot no doubt
2. Mirrors are gone.
3. Handle Bars possible bent.
4. Instrument cluster is destroyed
5. Headlight is destroyed.
6. Front lever is not connected?
7.Throttle is mostly gone.
8. Kill/ Start switches are gone (like not even on the bike).
9. Front Fairings are gone.
10. Tail light not working.
11. Right exhaust it literally hanging off the bike.
So yeah I have my work cut out for me, I'm pretty confident I can do most of it myself (guides on here are great!),but id like to hear what you guys think I should do. This was my first crash I was pretty devastated that it happened. I'm O.K if anyone was wondering I was geared up and the bike tossed me off as soon as it hit, so I was left with just road rash. Also any insight on why it may not be starting is good. Ordered a need switch, Then engine and basically everything but the front end is in good condition. A few scuffs on what I think is the Timing case cover. Ill go back over it tonight and check for any cracks in the engine.
