So I just got a 93 JX600 off craigslist. The bike had been sitting for over a year, kind-of winterized. Fuel was drained from the tank, but not from the carbs. :wallbash:
When the guy went to put it on Craigslist he "tinkered" with it. Blindly adjusting any screw he could find on the carbs. (Read, mixture, idle screw and carb balance screws.)
I have cleaned the carbs thoroughly and tuned it far enough by guesswork to get it sunning ok.
My question is: Where do I start on the fine-tuneing? I set the mixture to 2 turns out and have a motionpro tuner. Do I tune the carbs then adjust the mixture, or the other way around? Or is it a back and forth thing till everything balances out?
Does anyone have a link to a good guide on setting/tuning the stock carbs?
