These forks have been a nightmare.
So I'm finally ready to get these rebuilt and back in the bike. However, when I fit the bottom cap screw into the damper rod, the assembly locks up. It sounds like it's jammed between two metal contacts and has 1-2mm float in it.
Any suggestions? Anything to do with the white plastic bushes on the bottom of the stanchion?
