OK, measured the shims, intake is all in specs (0.11-0.14) but the exhaust are all out, between 0.14 and 0.16. Waiting for a delayed delivery of the shim tool, hopefully here tomorrow to get to work on it.

Having had some time, I measured the compression on the cylinders, and the values are frightening.

Cyl 1: 80psi
Cyl 2: 110psi
Cyl 3: 90psi
Cyl 4: 80psi

As of your experience, could it be due to the exhaust clearance to tight, I would think at 18,000 miles the valves should not be worn out yet, and neither the rings, no?

Should I even bother with the valve shims and take of the head right away?
