Fuel sending unit?

Has anyone tried? Or looked into it? The only reason I ask is I'm planning on using a universal gauge thats digital and it has the fuel gauge on it. I know it's not needed as much as it is a want. Just so everything on the instrument cluster works. I plan on a oil temp sensor for the temp gauge. But I haven't really looked into that and don't think that will be to difficult either. Yes the bike already has a reserve I understand. When you have to use reserve get gas!
