Front master cylinder interchange

Hello, looking on eBay to replace my seized front master on my 92 xj600 I noticed that the cylinder for a 97 model had a slightly different brake light switch. I was wondering if this is a direct drop in replacement on a 92 with no mods needed. Thanks.
