Hi everyone, my first topic on this helpful forum!)
I have bought couple days ago 1994 Yamaha Seca-2 with 22.000 km on it.
In the past I have had lots of newer bikes, but now I am married and decided to save some bucks.
During a test drive I have noticed that the bike needed tune up but because the price was good, I bought it.
From the very beginning, the bike did not sound right after 5.000 rpm on any gear as if not all the cylynders were working SO I decided to do reg maintance before cleaning and dealing with carbs, as I have no idea how to do that. (I have been told that they were synchronised about a year ago).
Oil changed, new spark plugs (cr8), fuel filter changed, air filter was crazy dirty-threw it away and waiting until a new one will come from ebay. I keep driving the bike, hopefully that is not something criminal for the seca.
So, as a result it behaves much better now, and driving in the city it works perfectly, but on the HWY after the speed 100-120 km I feel like it is not accelarates how it should, and the engine does not work smooth, on the small speed works fine.
So, what it might be? Also, the rpm when idling is not stable as well, it struggles between 1100-1500. When bike is cold, it also works as if there is not enough gas (with the choke off)
1.So, please advice me what should I be doing to fix those issues?
2.Today, when I was changing the fuel filter I had to remove the gas tank, and discovered one tube that is attached behing the cockpit but the other end is not attached, please see the pics, I am pointing on the tube with the finger, if it should. (it is not the tube designed for tank overfill)
Thatnk you in advance and drive safe!
P.S. How to attach the pics?
