Fork project! And fuel pump question...

So my right fork has been leaking and just decided to explode on the way home the other day... So went to the dealer and got the wiper, seals, snap rings and fork fluid. Read up on old mans write up and bought the stuff he said to and it'll go on Sunday! First question, does it matter what kind of fluid I use? The dealer gave me "Maxima racing oils" high performance race fork fluid 125-150 7w sus-vi. Is that okay? Not really a race bike. Second, since our bikes have vacuum fuel pumps does switching to a manual petcock effect the fuel pump? I haven't had an issue in the 2k miles I've been in the last month but just wondering. Thanks!
