It all stared when a Minivan decided to side check me. I'm okay, just bruised and angry. Must have been the adrenaline and that it was 1:30 AM, that I just decided to keep riding home, after I made sure I wasn't hurt or that the bike was screwed. I was able to up-shift all the way to 3rd and 4th I didn't need anything more on the road. > Five minutes later About half a mile before getting home at the end of the road and entering the small streets my Motorcycle made a screeching noise as I downshifted.
(NOTE: This is the fist time I down shift since the incident.)
Got it to Neutral and to 1st but as I tried to get into second my N light went off and thought I might just have slipped the clutch but it became apparent that, that was not the case.
Heard more screeching so I pulled over. turned it off, checked if the shift shaft had any exterior damage, or anything looked out of the ordinary like a stretched clutch cable. With the engine off but the electronics On I tried to change gears and it worked. N-1st-N-2nd.. Fired up the engine and it Wouldn't go pass 1st. Couldn't even go into Neutral once I was on 1st gear.
I live in apartments so I can't open her up and take my time to see if something looks wrong I need a check list, so I know what I'm looking for. What do you guys think it is?
