Yamaha XJ6 fork tubes on XJ600 S

Hallo,

I was looking at my fork tubes and decided to make an extra effort and replace them, since they are chipped, rosted etc.
Looking at ebay.com, I found that fork tubes for yamaha XJ600 S 1998 are 41mm x 587mm but fork tubes for Yamaha xj6 from 2004-2005 are 41mm x 594mm. Since the price is not different, I was wondering if those would fit to my XJ600 S 1998 and would be an upgrade.
