So I've purchased a '94 Seca II from a guy locally on CL. Said he was having a hard time having the bike idle properly, and was working with a "jet kit" (when people use the word "stage __" I blank out - what a useless way to talk about motor parts) to sort it out. Musician, low on money, having a kid. Gotta get rid of it.

I get the bike home and I'm rebuilding the carbs (which are clean looking, but clogged) and notice that he has #17.5 stock pilot jets in (I have #20's already ordered), and #130 main jets :o supposedly from his "jet kit" (which also contains a set of #127.5)

Now, I'm used to tuning 50-90cc single 2-strokes, and get jetting pretty well, but haven't worked with a bike this big before. I know that stock on this bike is 102.5, and this particular bike has a V&H 4-1, K&N pods, and a 4° ignition advance - so I understand the upjet, maybe a size or two... Bike is at sea level.

So, dear XJRider, what ballpark am I aiming for on main jets? Am I right to assume #130 is waaay too big to start?
I figure 105-112.5 for mains, but I wanted everyone's :twocents:

Thanks!
