I am on the last stages of my 93 being operational. Just changed out my float bowl gaskets because they were gnarly. I read up on Radare's post about hydrolocking and flooding. My floats are working well (haven't measured them though, no tool) but they were calibrated when the carbs were rebuilt. I think my petcock is failing to hold back fuel, but I also don't know the standards for my fuel tank and gaskets and venting…

I feel like the shop gave me back an odd set-up…
1) I don't know if my petcock or fuel pump are the oem ones. (anyone have pics?)
2) My fuel pump comes on as soon as my key is in the on position, without even cranking the starter??
3) I also don't know what the little nipple is under my fuel tank, next to the petcock.
4) If I tip my tank upside down with fuel in it, it leaks out the cap. Is that supposed to happen? I thought it might be the venting holes… but i just don't understand enough about it.
5) If the floats were calibrated and the carbs synced awhile ago, but the bike hasn't really been messed with or riden since, do you think they're still good?
Sry I don't have any pics at the moment. I will take some to go along with this post asap.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN OFFER!!!
