Brown and black gunk

Hey all,

I arrived at work today, stopped the bike and put her onto the side stand. Went inside then came back out as I forgot to put the steering lock on and noticed a nice puddle of black and brown gunk on the floor. First I thought it was from the valve gasket but on closer inspection it was running down the carb bib onto the valve cover then onto the floor. It was coming out of the airbox, so is there ment to be a pipe on that or not?
