Hi everyone,
Like many others I have been lurking for a while but now consider myself a true Divvy fan so wanted to join the forum. My xj600 is a green 1999 model that I bought on eBay for 400 pounds. Its done 23,000miles since new and has not been used much in the last few years so does need some TLC. I use it for the 20mile round trip to work. I also have a Honda Blackbird which I use for two up touring (I'm off to Morocco in march if there are any XJ owners that would be interested in meeting up.) This forum seems very friendly and easy going and I enjoy reading the project stories, very inspiring.
My divvy currently has the following problems that I may need your help with;
1. Binding front right brake
2. Blowing exhaust
3. Rusty old chain
4. Some noisy valves
5. A tendency to die after a few miles and then start again on the button
6. Carbs out of balance
But as I said I love riding it and look forward to maybe catching up with some of you for a summer (or winter) ride out. I enjoy the tinkering so would also love to restore the bike to a better condition and learn some news skills at the same time.
