Hey Guys,
I'm wondering about our carb needles. I've seen mention of ways to adjust the height of the needle, but I don't recall seeing anything like that in the carbs of my 93 xj.
Is the only way to adjust the needle by shimming using washers via the 10 cent rejet method? What's the difference between shimming the needle vs. going with larger pilots and mains? Can you do both, or should you only do one or the other?
Also, in reading this thread http://xhzhrla.xjrider.com/viewtopic.ph ... 3&start=10 it seems that this guy was able to cure a flat spot by going back to stock needles. I also have flat spot/stumble somewhere around 3k-5k. One of my needles has a slightly flattened tip, I wonder if a needle replacement is in order. Anyone know where to find some?
