New owner of a 1982 XJ550/ Cafe Project

Hey guys! I've been lurking around for a bit and found this community to be very helpful/ well off! I recently bought a XJ550 from someone who kept it in good cosmetic condition, but lacked the care to nurse the interior. It has 31,000M and looks pretty fresh. I've ran into problems here and there but my first main concern is that it doesn't run, so before starting any kind of cosmetic tune up I simply want her to get fired up. I have basic knowledge of engines, but I don't have the power to change what is in front of me. I plan to take off the wire harness completely and wire it myself via schematic I found online. One of the carburetors is a no go and I wanted to see if it was possible to change my carbs from a daisy chain into a duo operated 4 stroke carb system. Just wanted to see if anyone was willing to help me out in this project with guidance, thanks!
