Hello guys so if you haven't been following my other thread about the engine bogging down at take off, ill give you the just of my situation.
Stock Gas cap was leaking fuel, so i took it off.(vented perfectly)
Tried the Chinese copy of the stock gas cap, started leaking fuel from day one. (vented perfectly)
Now i have keyless non venting cap. (fully sealed system)
The Overflow/Breather tube that runs through the gas tank is completely rusted and has rusted through to the point where fuel leaks from it in certain spots so i have permanently sealed it.
I have also attached a fuel level gauge where the main breather is (i think) so there is little to no breathing at all, i can hear a slight whistle at times.
So here goes my crazy stupid idea...
The front of our tanks are "air boxes" correct? even with a full tank, the end of that "box" does not see fuel. what if you were to drill a hole into your tank near the front mounting bracket, and epoxy in an external vent/breather. good or bad idea?
For example, something like this... http://www.ebay.ca/itm/131268002990?ssP ... 1439.l2649
